Tiffani Cortez teaches the Computer Aided Drafting and Design II course for the Interior Design majors, which focuses on the Autodesk Revit Software. Ms. Cortez has been teaching this course since 2019. Ms. Cortez graduated from Texas State Technical College (2007) with a associate’s degree in Architectural Drafting and Design, from Tarleton State University (2009) with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, and from Texas A&M University (2018) with a Master’s degree in Education - Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on STEM Education. She will graduate from Texas A&M University with a Doctorate in Education in December 2023. Her doctoral research focuses on increasing female interest in engineering and computer science. She also studied Interior Design at Baylor for three years prior to transferring to TSTC.
Tiffani Cortez began teaching in 2010 after working for several years in the engineering department of Central Texas Iron Works creating 3D models of structures. She currently teaches Engineering and Digital Arts & Animation full time and also serves as the Career and Technical Education Department Head and the Robotics Program Director for Harmony School of Innovation - Waco. In addition to this, she coaches competitive robotics teams, runs an STEM program for 8-12 grade girls, works for NASA’s High School Aerospace program, and Project Lead the Way.
