Parker Design and Technology Center
The Parker Design and Technology Center provides the Apparel Design and Product Development students access to the latest state-of-the-art apparel software, equipment, and technology. Courtesy of the Parker family, Baylor University has the most extensive collection of apparel design, merchandising, and product development software and technology of any university in North America.
Using Illustrator, Photoshop, Vision Fashion Studio, WebPDM, PDS (pattern design software), AccuMark, and several other software applications, students create new styles and communicate a complete vision for a particular product or line. Students are able to design and construct garments using their own original fabric designs that are printed on a new high-end digital fabric printer donated to Baylor by the Parker family.
All of these versatile software tools and equipment located in the Parker Design and Technology Center help to better prepare our graduates to be competitive and valuable employees in today's workforce.
