The Baylor Interior Design Computer lab is PC based and the instructional information in class is based on the PC. The computers in the lab have all the software listed above. REVIT software is used beginning at the start of the Junior year and is only available on the PC. The current AutoCAD textbook gives instructions for both Mac and PC. Freshman do not utilize any of the graphics programs their freshman year. Sophomore year, students use AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign and Enscape. It is recommended to students and parents to make sure they have a computer that meets the requirements for the AutoCAD and REVIT software, which can be found on the AutoDesk Website. (RAM, Graphics cards, etc.). It is recommended that you have a computer that can handle the graphic requirements by the start of your sophomore year.
