Program Cost and Financial Aid
Baylor Undergraduate Tuition and Fees
Information on the general expense of attending Baylor is provided by Undergraduate Admissions here.
Estimated costs per semester for tuition and fees (including possible lab fees) can be found on the Baylor Student Financial Services website here.
An affordability planner and expense calculator are available here.
Textbooks are, on average, $700 per semester.
Additional costs associated with the Nutrition Sciences Program include a lab coat (approx. $20) and ServSafe© (guide and online test $90), Allergen certification ($35), and ServSafe food handler ($20). Students will be given optional opportunities for learning experiences that are off-campus, which they may voluntarily select to do.
Scholarships
To be considered for federal, state, and Baylor need-based financial aid, including loans, grants, and need-based Baylor scholarships, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). There is no fee to complete the FAFSA. If possible, use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) to access your most recent income tax return(s).
Baylor's school code is 003545. Baylor normally receives the results of the FAFSA within two to three business days.

CSS Profile
Starting with fall 2019, incoming undergraduates who are interested in university need-based aid will need to complete both the FAFSA and CSS Profile to determine eligibility for university need-based grants and scholarships. Baylor will continue to use FAFSA results to award federal and state financial aid. And, as always, students do not have to complete any additional paperwork for Baylor’s academic scholarships, which are automatically awarded based on the student’s admissions info.
Why? The Profile provides a more in-depth evaluation of a family’s financial situation. While the FAFSA focuses mainly on income and family size, the Profile uses other important data such as home value and cost of living expenses. This allows schools to more equitably award their need-based aid.
Who? Incoming students who are interested in university need-based aid are required to submit the Profile for their first year at Baylor. Students should continue to complete the FAFSA for federal and state aid annually.
How? Simply go to cssprofile.collegeboard.org. While the Profile costs $25, there are fee waivers for low-income, U.S.-based students who are applying to college for the first time.
