Kappa Omicron Nu
Kappa Gamma Theta Chapter at Baylor University
Kappa Omicron Nu is a national honor society representing all majors in Human Sciences and Design. The mission of the society is to support scholarship, leadership, research, and professional development. The Kappa Gamma Theta Chapter at Baylor began as Kappa Omicron Phi in 1972, and in 1993 due to an organization merger, the organization became known as Kappa Omicron Nu (KON).
To be eligible, a student must be a major in Human Sciences and Design, have completed twelve hours of HSD classes, and have a 3.4 overall GPA and a 3.6 GPA in all HSD classes.
Baylor students are active at the national level, attending the biannual conclave that brings KON students from across the country together to focus on leadership initiatives and chapter improvement.
During the next three years, our chapter will be focusing on Social Responsibility, including initiatives in: Peace and Security, Education, Environment, Health, Social Justice, Prosperity, and Innovation/Technology. For more information about our initiatives, please click here.
