Baylor MFT Program Overview
The Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program at Baylor University aims to address the growing demand for licensed therapists by providing specialized clinical training focused on family systems and relationship dynamics.
Baylor’s MFT program utilizes a hybrid curriculum that combines online synchronous courses with immersive on-campus sessions, ensuring high-quality, comprehensive preparation for students to become effective marriage and family therapy practitioners.
The MFT program requires students to complete 60 credit hours over two years, which includes online courses and on-campus immersive sessions for practical training. Students will also engage in a minimum of 300 hours of supervised clinical training through clinical placement/internship experiences. Upon graduation, students will fulfill the educational requirements needed for licensure as marriage and family therapists in many states.
