Morgan Strickland, PhD, LMFT

Dr. Morgan Strickland is a Clinical Professor in Marriage and Family Therapy in the Department of Human Sciences and Design at Baylor University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Supervisor (LMFT/S) in South Carolina and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy and worked as a professor at Converse University for 6 years before joining Baylor University. 

Dr. Strickland's research focuses on family violence and how survivors can remain resilient to adverse outcomes. She is interested in how and why violence is perpetuated through technology (e.g., cyberbullying) and how mental health professionals can better assess and intervene in this pervasive problem. Additionally, she studies the psychotherapy process and therapist factors that lead to the greatest success in client outcomes. She is passionate about mentoring students and working collaboratively with them to meet their goals.
